UnMask Pro is a filter to unmask stalkers that should be installed in your mind, not your phone.
The Internet is great to make new friends. But stalkers hidden in social media are very skillful creating fake profiles to deceive and assault kids and teenagers.
The best to face up to them is to install in our mind a series of safety precautions to filter out bad people and avoid being a victim of harassment.

Advice & Tips
- Don’t talk to strangers, remember that it is way too easy to create fake profiles! Don’t turn on your camera if you don’t know the person you are chatting with.
- When you are chatting, if you are asked not to tell anybody about these conversations, be suspicious of them and stop talking!
Protect your intimacy, if a person (someone you know or a stranger) asks you for naked pictures or intimate videos, don’t send any! They can later extort you by asking for more material or threatening to publish it, send it to your friends, relatives or classmates.
Once you upload content to the Internet, you lose immediate control over it and anybody can have access to it. Anything we do in the digital world have an impact on the physical word. So, our actions have consequences in both worlds!
If you are asked to do something that makes you uncomfortable, you have the right to say no! Nobody can force you to do something you don’t like.
On the Internet, share information only to trustworthy people that you know personally. Don’t share it with strangers, no matter how much they promise to give you in return. That information can be used to mislead or assault you (for example: when playing videogames don’t use your real name as nick and don’t provide personal information).
Don’t share your passwords, not with friends, nor with strangers. These are the key to access your digital identity! Just as you don’t give your house keys to anybody, don’t tell your passwords! You must protect your personal data every day.
Devote a couple of minutes to manage your social networks privacy. Privacy is the right we all have to control our own information. Create a secure password or fingerprint for your devices.
Ask yourself: “What information would I like others to know about me?” The things that embarrass you, that make you uncomfortable, or that are private should not be published. Think before publishing anything on social networks, that’s the way to go. Those who groom can use information from public profile to start any type of harassment.

What to do
What to do if you are facing grooming:
- Talk to your family or guardian.
Don’t embarrass or blame the kid so they can tell openly what happened.
- Don’t interrogate. Instead, show affection with the aim to protect them.
What to do with the information exchanged between the stalker and the kid or teenager:
Collect all the information and file a report at the closest District Attorney ‘s Office (see phone numbers and filing procedures of each country)
- Don’t delete content from your computer or mobile phone.
- Save conversations, pictures and videos exchanged between the stalker and the victim because they work as evidence. It is recommended to make print-screens and save them digitally or in paper.
- Download the pictures or any other material sent by the stalker to simplify the identification of useful information for the investigation. For example: camera brand, model and serial number, date and time the picture or video were created, the computer or applications/software used.
- Examine the computer or mobile phone used by the victim, change passwords and look for malware software.
- Change passwords of social networks.
- Limit the list of contacts and manage your social networks privacy. Talk with the kid or teenager on the importance of including only people we know to our list of contacts.
How to deal with the stalker:
- Don’t report them on social media or web platforms. If you do so, the web administrator might block the user. Once blocked the information to carry out the investigation is lost, and the stalker can create a new profile to continue harassing other kids and teenagers.
- Don’t threaten or face them. If so, they’ll move away from the victim and it will be more difficult to locate them.
- File a report at the closest District Attorney ‘s Office.
